Okay, back to laser bender. Got the player-facing level selection screen in the works.
Levels are locked until the previous level is completed. Branching is possible but not shown right now. Green circles are completed levels. Green rings highlight the next level (but should actually be available levels, an oversight on my part).
Hex Tiles #
I’ve another project that’s been percolating and I realized recently I need to just build out quick prototypes for these rather than sit on them waiting for a relevant game jam. That’ll help me evaluate these ideas more quickly, add prototypes to the portfolio, and for game jams it’ll free me up to go with the flow and actually come up with something novel.
So.
My idea plays out in a hex grid. So I watched a tutorial and picked up a colour palette.
And I’ve got a simple setup working where I can click to expand the blob into an adjacent cell. When that happens the oldest cell is removed.
